I love love this place! The food and drinks are never a disappointment. I haven't had the chance to dine in and eat yet, but my sister has eaten in their restaurant area and enjoyed the happy hour vibes. I know everytime I do go in to pick up food or have a drink at the bar, its always lit. This time I had the fried shrimp, collard greens and yellow rice. The food portions are excellent, worth every penny!! Next time, I think I'll try the cabbage and salmon. Stay tuned!!
Omgg the BEST BEST soul food I've brought in nyc. I'm a southern girl and that catfish taste like it was fried in the back of my grandma house. They had a live dj that was so so good. The only thing I didn't like was they had hookah. I hate smoke when I'm eating. I feel like that should be left for the clubs and lounges not sit down restaurants.
Great customer service,food and music. I ordered the catfish and shrimp meal with collard greens, Mac and cheese, and yams, AMAZING. The lobster Mac and cheese also hit the spot. The henny punch was also very tasty. I took my uncle here to celebrate his birthday. They have a cute birthday package for 45 dollars. It was worth it a slice of cake, music, balloons, bubbles, and a happy birthday sign. I would definitely visit again.
Just ate there food was amazing!!! Fried whiting is the best!!! Collard greens taste like grandmas and the lemon drop was amazing . You only need 1 drink to have you feeling nice. Great customer service . Will definitely go again and again !
The food was tasty. I would avoid going during their busy time which is late evenings, you need cash they don't take cards which is something they need to tell you. They ask if you want smoking or a non-smoking area and they have an upstairs and atm inside as well, but I would recommend bringing cash with you. Definitely recommend making reservations or the wait can be a bit. Let the hostess know you have a reservation so you don't stand online you just sit and wait to be called. They offer tap and bottled water for a fee. DJ is great, a lot of food varieties, staff checks in, and if busy they switch off but explain what's going on if you get another server or waitress or waiter there informative. Gratuity was added to my evening party of three it was 20%.
